PROCEDURE FOR DRAWING UP OF PREDOCTORAL CONTRACTS FOR THE TRAINING OF DOCTORAL STUDENTS FUNDED BY THE UPV'S RESEARCH STRUCTURES – SUBPROGRAMME 2 (PAID-01-22) 118322

The Department of Applied Linguistics, UPV, Spain, is offering a fully funded, PhD studentship under the aegis of a pioneer research project in child protection: Project PRECISION (PREventing sexual Cyber-vIolence againSt chIldren thrOugh linNguistics research).

Led by Professor Nuria Lorenzo-Dus (Linguistics), and funded by the Spanish Government (ATR2023-14506 grant, funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033), PRECISON brings together a multidisciplinary research team (social sciences and computer science) with more than 10 years of international experience in the development and implementation of research-based technology to combat sexual cyber-violence against children.

During the course of your doctoral studies, you will have the opportunity to work with child safeguarding professionals in Spain and further afield. The studentship will also offer opportunities for extensive networking and impact-driven activities.

Specific Requirements

Candidates must meet the requirements to join a PhD programme at UPV during the application period. Candidates must be enrolled in/have been pre-admitted to a UPV’s doctoral programme for the current academic year when submitting the application. Proof of meeting this requirement can be provided until the deadline for submitting applications. If awarded the contract, they must enroll for the current year in the UPV's doctoral programme for which they have been accepted (if they are not yet enrolled) and submit a copy of the proof of enrolment before executing the contract.
