Would you like to research real solutions for a more sustainable industry?
We are looking for a pre-doctoral researcher to join the University Chair of Business “Digitization and Sustainability,” as part of an industrial doctorate developed jointly by Takasago and UCAM.
You will work in a mixed company-university environment, applying your research directly to a real industrial plant and contributing to improving its environmental performance.
What will the project involve?
You will be part of the “Strategy for Improving Waste Management and Sustainability Assessment in Industrial Plants” project, focusing on:
- Analysis of production processes and waste generation points.
- Characterization of industrial waste and wastewater.
- Optimization of waste management and proposals for improvement.
- Developing strategies based on the circular economy.
- Calculating water footprint, carbon footprint, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
- Participating in pilot projects for effluent reuse and treatment improvement.
- Writing technical reports and scientific articles (doctorate).
What will your duties be?
- Analyzing and documenting industrial processes.
- Identifying and characterizing waste and liquid streams.
- Evaluating current environmental management and proposing improvements.
- Collaborating on environmental innovation projects.
- Preparing technical and scientific documentation.
- Participating in seminars, training, and follow-up meetings.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or similar.
- Meet the requirements to enter a doctoral program.
- Experience in laboratory work, water/waste analysis, or environmental management will be valued.
- Upper-intermediate English (B2–C1).
