Offer Description

1. Scientific Area:

Computer Science and related fields.

2. Funding Source:

Next Generation EU, under the project Aveiro Education and Social Alliance – Promotion of Success and Reduction of Dropout in Higher Education, within the scope of Investment RE-C06-i07 | Impulso Mais Digital of Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan.

3. Admission Requirements:

Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD programme or in non-degree courses integrated into the educational project of the University of Aveiro, holding a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related fields.

Proof of enrolment/registration must be presented by the time of contract signing. However, candidates may initially submit a declaration of honour stating that they meet these requirements.

If the academic qualification was obtained from a foreign higher education institution, it must be recognized by a Portuguese higher education institution under the terms of Article 25 of Decree-Law No. 66/2018 of August 16 (which establishes the legal framework for the recognition of foreign academic degrees and diplomas) and Article 4(2)(e) of Decree-Law No. 60/2018 of August 3. All required formalities must be completed by the date of contract signing.

4. Eligibility:

Eligible candidates are those who meet the provisions of Article 2(1)(a) of the Statute of the Research Fellow, as amended by Decree-Law No. 123/2019 of August 28, and those of Article 9 of the University of Aveiro Research Grants Regulation.

5. Work Plan:

As part of the strategy to promote a culture of innovation and pedagogical improvement, the University of Aveiro (UA), particularly through its Teaching and Learning Unit (Núcleo de Ensino e Aprendizagem), seeks to identify members of the academic community with innovative practices and disseminate them through, for instance, communities of practice or the Unit’s communication channels, including the newsletter.

However, it is recognized that the identified practices represent only a fraction of the reality, and that a comprehensive understanding of pedagogical innovation at UA requires more systematic approaches.

To this end, and complementing other initiatives, this project aims to develop a web-based platform to analyze the content of Pedagogical Dossiers produced annually for curricular units, in order to globally identify and understand the pedagogical innovation initiatives described therein.

The work plan includes the following tasks:
