We are looking for a phd candidate in the area of metallic glasses. Become a member of the Maass group in Berlin and conduct fore-front synchrotron experiments on glassy alloys.

The project is a 3-years funded DFG position. Central to this project is the usage of coherent synchrotron scattering to track transport and structural dynamics in metallic glass. The objective is to link dynamical and structural changes to macroscopic mechanical properties. The project aims to address the well-known but not understood embrittlement of metallic glasses. The work will be conducted in Berlin at the Federal Institute of Materials Research and Testing (BAM), with TUM being the graduating institution. Please contact Prof. Robert Maaß via e-mail for any further questions or interest in this position. General information and research topics of the Maaß-group can be found at www.maass.nu.

The position is suitable for disabled persons. Disabled applicants will be given preference in case of generally equivalent suitability, aptitude and professional performance.
