SE - Student Language Lab Assistant, Implementation

This position involves supporting the integration of AI tools to enhance language teaching and learning in foreign language courses.

The position requires both strong technology and graphic design skills, as well as AI competency and a commitment to implementing

AI-infused courses that promote student engagement, critical thinking, and project-based learning.

Essential Functions

• Assist in implementing AI tools in language courses – Help integrate AI-based platforms and applications into course activities.

• Provide basic technical support to students and faculty – Troubleshoot issues related to AI tools and digital platforms.

• Apply basic design skills to develop AI-enhanced learning materials – Use design tools to create visually effective and engaging

  educational content.

• Maintain lab software and equipment – Ensure all AI tools and digital resources are updated and functioning properly

• Guide students in the ethical use of AI tools – Promote responsible and effective use of generative AI and related resources.

• Support faculty-led workshops and training sessions – Assist with logistics and technical setup during AI-related training.

• Monitor and log usage of AI tools in the lab – Keep records of student engagement and tool performance

• Collaborate with the Studio manager on AI-related projects – Contribute to ongoing lab or classroom initiatives that involve AI

  integration.

• Update documentation for AI tools – Help develop user guides, FAQs, and tutorials using a clear visual design.

• Participate in professional development opportunities – Attend trainings or webinars to stay current with AI trends in education.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Preference will be given to a Barry University student currently seeking a degree in Foreign Languages.

• This position requires a person with strong computer and technology skills, as well as graphic design skills.
