POSITION OBJECTIVE
Working under limited supervision, coordinate research work in medical and related technical areas. The Research Assistant 3 will also perform data analysis on public and lab datasets using multi-omics approaches. The research assistant will also perform wet lab work in field of neurodegenerative diseases, involving use of lab/research skills involving mouse breeding, behavioral testing of mice, and surgical procedures in mice. Other work includes Western blotting and cell cultures. This position will work with animals.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 3 to 5 years of related experience required.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
WORKING CONDITIONS
Identify the working conditions and physical demands, which relate to the essential functions of the position, such as working indoors/ outdoors, working with exposures to hazards, etc. Include special considerations for the position, such as occasional travel or necessary overtime.
General laboratory environment. May have exposure to hazards. This position will be in contact with live mice and mouse tissues. Biosafety and IACUC training in addition to basic lab standard training will be required.
