| Job Summary | The Division of Epidemiology’s Program for Addiction Research, Clinical Care, Knowledge and Advocacy (PARCKA) is seeking a Research Assistant to join our team. PARCKA is an interdisciplinary team aiming to improve the lives of those affected by substance use. Website: https://medicine.utah.edu/internalmedicine/epidemiology/parcka/ This position is part-time (up to 20 hours per week) and generally on-site at our office in Research Park on the University of Utah campus. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a necessity. Prior experience with qualitative research is desirable though not a requirement. If the applicant has no prior experience with qualitative research required for the position, on-the-job training will be provided. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. |

| Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in a Social or Behavioral Science, Liberal Arts, or a field related to the area of research, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); one year of experience in research and analytical techniques; demonstrated statistical and quantitative analysis experience; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required.. This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated requirements. We protect our patients, coworkers and community by requiring all patient-sensitive employees to be immunized according to CDC standards and hospital policy. Limited exemptions may be made for documented medical contraindications or religious beliefs that object to vaccinations. |
