A postdoctoral fellow position is available at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, at the laboratory of Dr. Eirini Papapetrou https://labs.icahn.mssm.edu/papapetroulab/ and the Center for Advancement of Blood Cancer Therapies (CABCT) (https://icahn.mssm.edu/research/cabct ).

The successful candidate will work on projects involving human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and primary human hematopoietic cells to study myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The studies include but are not limited to CRISPR gene editing, in vitro differentiation, xenograft assays and single-cell multi-omics.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. PhD or MD/PhD degree, adequate writing and presentation skills and a track record of peer-reviewed publications is required. Strong experience in at least one of the following areas: stem cell biology, molecular biology, gene editing, hematology, animal handling or genomics is required.
