| Purpose of the Position | This position is a supervisory position working under the direction and in support of the Assistant Director of Housing Services and Housekeeping. Responsible for the direct and indirect supervision of lead housekeepers, housekeeping workers, and other housing services and housekeeping teams/team members as determined by business need and distribution of work across the Housing Services and Housekeeping supervisory team. Day-to-day work of the person working in this role ensures University Housing Services and Housekeeping operations are implemented effectively and in compliance with all applicable training, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and work performance quality requirements. This work also includes coordinating with, and managing, contractors or contract workers, to ensure compliance and accuracy. The Housing Services and Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for key aspects of operational planning and implementation, supervision of full-time classified employees, hourly employees, and student workers. Throughout their work proactive and preventive work is routine, and are responsible for related administrative functions such as interviewing, record keeping, timesheet approvals, and similar. Work typically includes housing services and housekeeping related to housing facilities, special events when assigned, and work contributing to special initiatives and projects. Work hours are typically first shift, and may include weekend and evening hours as business demands require. The Housing Services and Housekeeping Supervisor is someone who works with a strong commitment to a students first environment throughout their work, ensures a high degree of accuracy, and is a collaborative colleague to support the overall success of the housing program. |
