| Position Summary | This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) student support services for the Hatfield Marine Science Center at Oregon State University (OSU). The employee will assume the duties and responsibilities of a Resident Assistant and will help to support HMSC Housing and Hatfield Student Life activities, including but not limited to: events, outreach materials, point of contact for housing residents, driving motor pool vans for curricular and extra-curricular activities. Other duties include attending and supporting Hatfield community events, such as attending seminars. The employee will also be expected to foster safe, inclusive student experiences. This position is located at Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Oregon. Field housing at Hatfield Marine Science Center is provided. |

| Working Conditions / Work Schedule | Work conditions: May work 8-15 hours per week in spring Required to live on-site in HMSC provided housing. Must be available to work non-traditional hours including weekends, evenings, holidays, and after hours. Work schedule: Working duration is March 27th, 2026, through June 12th, 2026, preferred through September 24th, 2026 Required to work on spring move-in dates, including, but not limited to, March 30th Required to work on spring move-out dates Other conditions: Occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds Communicating with members of the OSU community and the public, some of whom may be hostile Driving a university-owned 12- to 15-passenger van COMPENSATION $16.00/Hour Furnished residence hall-style room, shared with other student workers. |
