| Position Summary | The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM HSC) is the state’s largest academic medical center, encompassing the School of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing, College of Population Health, UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the UNM Health System. The UNM Health System—which includes UNM Hospital and Sandoval Regional Medical Center—delivers high-quality care to more than 200,000 New Mexicans annually. The Office of the HSC Executive Vice President/Chief Executive Officer (EVP/CEO) is seeking a Deputy Chief of Staff to join a dynamic, fast-paced executive team. Reporting to the UNM HSC Chief of Staff, this role ensures operational efficiency and effectiveness within the EVP/CEO Office, fostering a culture of service, professionalism, and continuous improvement. The Deputy Chief of Staff serves as a trusted advisor, representing executive leadership on delegated projects and initiatives aligned with the University priorities. Responsibilities may include managing office staff and coordinating government relations activities, requiring a strong understanding of federal and state policies impacting academic medical centers. | Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
