| Position Summary | * INTERNAL SEARCH ONLY FOR INDIANA UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEES ONLY * The School of Education at Indiana University Kokomo invites applications for a full time, 10-month, Assistant Professor of Educational and School Psychology position beginning August 1, 2025. The successful candidate will teach courses in a number of areas, including but not limited to lifespan development, classroom assessment, ethics and law in school psychology, consultation and collaboration in school psychology, and roles and functions of school psychologists. They will conduct research in related areas, such as best practices in special education, building administrator preparedness for implementing mental health practices, and integrating mental health practices into the school setting. They will have experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as the proven ability to develop new courses and curriculum. The successful candidate will also demonstrate success working with diverse faculty and student populations and will have experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives, as well as a willingness to participate in our collegial and supportive program environment. Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester; establishing and maintaining an active, productive research program; and being active in service to the program, the campus, and the university. One of eight campuses of Indiana University, Indiana University Kokomo is a comprehensive non-residential campus located 50 miles north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, a city with a population of about 57,000. Committed to student success, the campus serves approximately 3,300 students from a 14-county area in north-central Indiana. IU Kokomo has around 260 full-time faculty and staff.
