UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a professional-level Site Reliability Engineer (Systems Admin/Programmer IV) to join ICT, a unit within UFIT.

UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator.

ICT provides shared IT Infrastructure to meet the needs of the University of Florida. It aims to consolidate and standardize IT Infrastructure. It replaces, retires, and keeps the campus IT infrastructure and communication services current in order to optimize and maximize all IT provided services.

Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

• Advanced IT systems administration
• Advanced IT programming
• Advanced IT architectural design and implementation

$98,000; commensurate based on education and experience.

The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux Ubuntu/RedHat
• Expert-level understanding of API design, implementation, and integration
• Advanced knowledge of load balancing principles and technologies (F5 BIG-IP experience highly preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of network monitoring systems and methodologies (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana preferred)
