We are seeking to appoint a talented Bioinformatician to join a team at a pivotal time where you will be developing a predictive algorithm for immunogenicity based off of biological mechanisms. In this role you will be using your skills to aid with machine learning, bioinformatics and preclinical validation as well as working with a multi-disciplinary team who seek to transform cancer and its treatment by actively preventing it from developing, initially within high - risk groups and then expanding to the wider population.
You will be responsible for playing a leading role in the development of blended mechanistic ML models to identify antigens and predict their immunogenicity as vaccines of part of a multi team initiative. You will also be expected to not only employ existing methods already established but also develop new approaches to integrating AI/ML models as well as incorporate appropriate datasets to validate computational algorithms for T cell immunogenicity.
It is essential that you hold a DPhil/ PhD in mathematical immunology or a related discipline, have experience of multiple mathematical approaches applied to biology such as, dynamic systems, agent based, and statistical. Coding experience is a must with a heavy focus on R. For this role you must also be open to being scientifically creative and have an ability to contribute to the future direction of the research project.
