The Financial Management team are seeking a capable and detail-driven Senior Finance Assistant to support our Professional Services finance function with month-end processes, balance sheet integrity, and financial analysis.

Typical activities that this post holder will be involved in, include;

· Accounting and month end support, preparing and posting journals

· Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations

· Reconcile pay reports to the general ledger and investigate discrepancies, liaising with internal stakeholders as required

· Query resolution and stakeholder support, investigating finance related queries accurately and professionally

This is not a data-entry role. It requires sound accounting knowledge, curiosity, and accountability.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Skills & Experience

· Actively studying towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA, or demonstrable extensive experience in a similar finance role

· Proven experience preparing basic to intermediate accounting journals and balance sheet reconciliations

· Solid understanding of accruals and prepayments and general ledger principles

· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

· Organised, methodical, and comfortable working with financial data

· Able to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities

· Confident communicator who can explain financial information clearly

· Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

· Good excel skills

There are two permanent positions available. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week)
