A postdoc position is available from 2026 at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland) in the group of Prof. Oliver Janzer.

We seek outstanding candidates working in Combinatorics with interests in one of the following areas: extremal graph theory, Ramsey theory, probabilistic combinatorics. 

• Candidates should have (or be near completion of) a PhD in mathematics. 

• Candidates should have a strong research record in Combinatorics. 

• The appointment is for 1-2 years (to be agreed upon), with the possibility of extension. 

• The position comes with excellent research conditions, a very competitive salary, and generous funding to cover travel expenses. 

• The anticipated starting date for this position is September 2026, but a different starting date is possible. 

• Review of applications will begin on 1st November 2025, and will continue until the position is filled. Reference letters can be submitted after this date. 

• Knowledge of French is not a requirement.
