Description of the workplace

The Department of Electrical and Information Technology at Lund University, The Faculty of Engineering, LTH, is one of the larger departments with around 120 employees. The department consists of four divisions and a group of technical and administrative staff. We are situated in the E-building at LTH’s campus in the north of Lund, but we also have teaching activities at campus Helsingborg. 

We will now employ 1-2 teaching assistants to the Division of Secure and Networked Systems at the department for work in a Vinnova project under the leadership of the division head.

Work duties

As a teaching assistant, your duties may vary and the duties should provide an insight into the academic world at the faculty where you are studying.

The work involves development and research within cybersecurity in the Vinnova project. You will help to produce experimental research results for the project. The aim is to investigate, by developing new software, whether, based on the build and configuration data for a container, suitable machine models can be found that can generate access control profiles for Docker containers for given configuration data.

The duties includes:

  • Research within cybersecurity.
  • Software development within cybersecurity.

Qualification requirements

Eligible to be employed as a teaching assistant are those admitted to first or second-cycle courses and study programmes at the faculty (or a related subject for the joint departments). The degree may not have been taken.

Required qualifications:

  • Admitted to first or second-cycle courses in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent education that the employer deems relevant.
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in Swedish and English.
  • Software development skills.
  • Machine learning skills.

Further information

The position is a fixed term position for the period February 16­-June 19, 2026, or by agreement, at 50 per cent of full time, by agreement.
The employment must not affect studies in a negative way. The educational employment as a Teaching Assistant is regulated in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), 5 chapter 8-12 §§.
The position is covered by the flexitime agreement for the technical and administrative staff.
We intend to hire 1-2 people.
