TITLE OF THE POSITION OFFERED: Laboratory Technician.

SUBJECT AREA: Agricultural Sciences.

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Indefinite duration.

PROFESSIONAL CATEGORY: GROUP III. Specialist Technician (High School, Vocational Training Level II or equivalent).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION: HIGHER VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM:
ADVANCED TECHNICIAN IN ANALYSIS AND QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY. 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: In accordance with the provisions of the Science, Technology and Innovation Act, candidates who do not possess the required academic qualifications may be admitted if they have training and experience relevant to the tasks to be performed and merits to be assessed:

• Training courses and/or subjects from official university degrees related to bioactive compound extraction techniques

• Professional experience in identifying and quantifying bioactive compounds in fruit and vegetables

 

WEEKLY DEDICATION: The position will be full-time, with a working week of 35 hours, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 2pm and from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.

GROSS ANNUAL REMUNERATION: The worker will receive a gross annual salary of 22,152.62 €.

PROJECT TITLE: Sustainable revaluation of fruit and vegetable by-products using green technologies to supplement new fruit and vegetable products with key bio-compounds extracted from them.

DURATION: The validity of this contract shall be linked to the budgetary availability of the aforementioned line of research.

INTENDED DATE OF DEPUTY EMPLOYMENT: scheduled for 01/01/2026.

TASKS TO BE CARRIED OUT:  

Extraction, identification, and quantification of bioactive compounds in fruit and vegetables using spectrophotometry, liquid chromatography coupled (or not) with mass spectrometry, etc.

PLACE OF WORK: Institute of Plant Biotechnology (IBV), in the Food Quality and Health Unit; and in the Agricultural Engineering School (ETSIA).

MERITS TO BE ASSESSED AND EVALUATION CRITERIA

Academic qualifications (20%): the academic record corresponding to the degree required for admission to the position will be assessed.

Specific training (20%): courses on the extraction, identification and quantification of bioactive compounds in fruit and vegetables. Spectrophotometry, liquid chromatography coupled (or not) with mass spectrometry, etc.

Professional experience (35%): Professional experience in techniques for the extraction, identification and quantification of bioactive compounds in fruit and vegetables.

Languages (5%): Accredited B1 level in English.

Personal interview (20%): Motivation, aptitude; knowledge related to the subject will be viewed positively.
