Key responsibilities:

Project funding seeking
Coordinating various tasks, developing, integrating, and applying the methodological framework to different existing case studies
Typical tasks will be in relation with:
Disentangling the strengths of pastoral systems for circularity and climate change mitigation by considering natural baselines.
Assessing the potential of biowaste management strategies for enhancing circularity and climate change mitigation.
Developing new pathways to bring scientific knowledge closer to society through gamification.
Main requirements/skills:

Master s degree in environmental or chemical engineering, agricultural sciences, or environmental sciences.
PhD in agroecosystems modeling or a related field.
Over 10 years of expertise in environmental life cycle assessment (LCA) for agri-food products.
Documented experience in modelling farming systems.
Specific experience with valorisation technologies for agri-food by-products (e.g., biogas, composting).
Experience and strong publication track in assessing GHG emissions and other environmental impacts from ruminant production systems by applying LCA methodology.
Modeling carbon and nutrient flows across interlinked processes in the agri-food system.
Experience with specific models (SIMSDAIRY, RothC, SIMSWASTE)
Proficiency in specific LCA software (e.g., Simapro) and programming skills.
Proven ability for independent scientific work, as evidenced by a strong publication record.
Proven record of fund raising.
Fluency in Spanish (both written and spoken) is required, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English is also necessary.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary research group.
