ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.

The successful candidate will be joining the Optoelectronics group led by Prof. Dr. Valerio Pruneri.

The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to the simulation, planning, development, deployment, and commissioning of free-space optical links in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. These links will serve as test platforms for various quantum communication devices in ground-to-ground scenarios within metropolitan areas, as well as for the validation of devices aimed at the space segment of Quantum Communications. Additionally, the candidate will participate in the development of optoelectronic devices dedicated to implementing next-generation QKD system protocols (high-dimensional systems, stable and robust architectures, etc.).
