Offer Description

A Graduate Research Assistant position is available at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology CSIC (Madrid, Spain), to work under the supervision of Dr. Miryam Criado Gonzalez in the research project “PolyPeptide-based Self-charging Power Generators for Wireless Bioelectronics (PoP-bioWIRE)”, funded by MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 (Grant CNS2024-154833).

Job description

This multidisciplinary project aims to design and synthesize self-charging power generators combining peptides and conductive polymers for wireless bioelectronics. The work will involve organic and polymer synthesis, 3D printing, and advanced physical chemical characterization of the resulting materials. The position offers a stimulating environment at the intersection of chemistry, materials science, and biomedicine, within a dynamic and collaborative research team in Madrid.

Candidate’s requirements

Applicants should hold a PhD in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field. Experience in organic synthesis, peptide synthesis, and polymer chemistry will be highly valued. The selected candidate is expected to conduct research, write papers, and participate in the supervision of PhD, MSc, and BSc students. A good command of written and spoken English is essential.
