The “Preparation, characterization and properties of non-molecular solids” (PCPNMS) research group, headed by Prof. David Ávila Brande, belongs to such a university. The research focus of PCPNMS group is the synthesis, and characterization of new materials with applications in biomedicine, catalysis and energy conversion and storage. The group members are both senior and novel researchers. The research interests of PCPNMS group comprise harsh conditions synthesis, soft chemistry, structural and microstructural characterization, study of magnetic, electric and electrochemical properties, superconductivity, catalysis, sustainable chemistry, and nanoscience.

The PCPNMS research group, associated to the Inorganic Chemistry Department at the Complutense University of Madrid, is opening a Predoctoral Researcher Position, looking for talented and motivated candidates to work on the development of nanomaterials based on covalent organic networks (COFs) as therapeutic biomolecules delivery systems.
