The Fraunhofer Singapore Research Centre FSR@NTU, belongs to the independent research centre at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.de) is one of the world’s leading applied research organizations with around 30,800 employees, predominantly scientists and engineers in Germany.
In Singapore, Fraunhofer operates two independent but closely related and cooperative organizations: Fraunhofer-NTU Centre FSR@NTU and Fraunhofer Singapore Research Ltd. Fraunhofer Singapore Research Ltd is the 1st affiliate of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in Asia. Both entities are legally independent entities working in close collaboration in joint facilities.
Programme Manager
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Manager to support programme coordination, executive management support and team assistance operations. You will enable smooth programme delivery for selected projects and programmes, governance routines, reporting cadence and team support across the Centre. The role works closely with the Executive Director, research teams, and NTU partners (VPRO), and supports collaboration with Fraunhofer Singapore Research Ltd.
This is a 3-year contract position, renewable subject to performance and organisational needs. Subject to suitability, the role may be structured jointly with Fraunhofer Singapore Research Ltd.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Programme Coordination & Delivery Support (50%)
Maintain programme plans, milestones, progress tracking and KPI reporting
Support Steering-Committee and stakeholder reporting cadence
Assist with grant submissions, compliance processes and documentation
Coordinate communication flows and programme-related logistics
2. Internal Communication & Centre Support (20%)
Support team engagement and centre activities, wellbeing
Support onboarding, documentation and staff engagement
Coordinate interviews and candidate communications
Administer expense claims and leave tracking
Support HR-related coordination with NTU and Fraunhofer Singapore
3. Executive Management and Team Assistance Support (30%)
Executive Management and personal assistance support
Provide administrative and executive support including meeting, calendar and travel coordination
Maintain records, filing and secretariat documentation
Required Qualifications and Skills
Ideal to have 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in programme management, HR, and centre administration roles.
At least a Diploma qualification in accountancy or its equivalent
Proficiency in Office Tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a must.
Strong organisational discipline, attention to detail and multitasking capability
Effective communicator and team collaborator with high service orientation
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
An effective team player with a positive working attitude and is willing to learn and adapt, with problem-solving skills.
Good organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritise, plan and multi-task and deliver assignments to adhere to timelines.
