Full Professor of Neuroscience and Mental Health (Tenured)

The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time tenured appointment as Full Professor of Neuroscience and Mental Health.

We seek applications from internationally recognized leaders with an outstanding record of impactful research, competitive grant funding, mentorship, and academic excellence. The successful candidate will head the Neuroscience & Mental Health Programme as its incoming Director. Area of research interest may include neurodegeneration, psychiatry, learning and memory, and translational neuroscience.

Established in 2010, LKCMedicine has rapidly built a strong reputation as both a research-intensive and education-focused medical school in Singapore. The School anchors eight flagship research programmes: Neuroscience & Mental Health, Skin Disease & Wound Repair, Nutrition, Metabolism & Health, Respiratory & Infectious Diseases, Population & Global Health, Microbiome Medicine, Cancer Discovery & Regenerative Medicine, and Data Science & Artificial Intelligence. These programmes reflect our commitment to advancing cutting-edge research spanning fundamental discovery to translational application.

The successful appointee will receive a highly competitive compensation package and generous start-up funds and laboratory space to support their research program.

The position will report to the Vice-Dean (Research) and Dean of LKCMedicine. Appointee will be expected to contribute to the School’s strategic research agenda and to the education of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Qualifications:

• PhD and/or MBBS/MD with relevant postdoctoral or clinical experience 
• Minimum of 10 years of successful experience as a Principal Investigator
• Internationally recognized track record of research excellence, with strong leadership demonstrated through high-impact publications and competitive grant funding Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills  Experience and commitment to postgraduate and undergraduate education and training Track record of supervising graduate students to successful completion of PhDs
