Offer Description

The Faculty of Economics, University of Niš (FEUN), is one of the leading higher education and research institutions in Serbia, with a strong track record in international cooperation, capacity building, and policy-relevant research in economics, management, and related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing full legal support for the UR-WISE (and other) project(s).
  • Drafting, reviewing, and ensuring compliance of employment and service contracts.
  • Legal support for the engagement of external experts and collaborators.
  • Preparing and overseeing public procurement procedures in compliance with Serbian and EU law.
  • Ensuring the legal validity of all project-related acts and decisions.
  • Advising the project management on legal obligations and risks.
  • Supporting compliance with ethical requirements in research (both EU and national legislation).
  • Intellectual property rights management and support.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Completed academic studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with 240 or 300 ECTS in Law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide timely and accurate legal advice.
  • Experience in working with public institutions and/or universities is an asset.
  • High ethical standards and professional integrity.

Specific Requirements
  • At least three years of work experience in legal affairs and passed the bar exam (in accordance with the applicable legal regulations in the Republic of Serbia).
  • Professional experience in legal advisory or public procurement is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property rights management and procedures and knowledge of EU and Serbian research ethics frameworks are highly appreciated, or commitment to professional training in ethics, IPR management and research-related legal frameworks within the first employment year.
  • Proficiency in Serbian due to the need for communication and cooperation with state and public institutions in Serbia, and English (written and spoken).
