General Requirements for the Position
- Romanian citizenship or citizenship of other European Union member states.
- A state of health appropriate to the position, certified by a medical certificate issued by a family physician or authorized healthcare units.
- Meeting the educational requirements and, where applicable, the seniority or other specific conditions according to the requirements of the advertised position.
Specific Requirements
- Enrollment in a doctoral school or holding a PhD degree in the field of Physics and/or Engineering.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in research and development activities (preferably in the field of renewable energy and photovoltaic systems).
Required Skills, Qualities, and Aptitudes
- Solid knowledge in the field of renewable energy, particularly photovoltaic systems and technologies for increasing energy efficiency.
- Experience in performance analysis methods for photovoltaic systems, including the use of optical techniques (e.g., infrared thermography) and statistical methods for evaluating the yield of photovoltaic panels.
- Advanced skills in using modeling, simulation, and scientific data analysis software (PVSyst, MS Office – Excel, Word, etc.), applied to research activities.
Job Responsibilities (Key Tasks of the Selected Candidate)
The selected candidate will participate in the following project-specific activities:
- Experimental research and development activities: developing and testing image processing algorithms and monitoring methodologies for photovoltaic panels; evaluating the performance and efficiency of photovoltaic systems under controlled and real conditions.
- Data processing and analysis activities using dedicated software, PVSyst.
- Drafting reports within research projects using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel), including the preparation of budgets for research projects.
- Participating in the drafting of research and development project proposals in the field of photovoltaic energy.
- Participating in the preparation of scientific manuscripts for the publication of research results in specialized journals and magazines, evidenced by at least two publications in WOS (Web of Science).
