Offer Description

The competition is open to individuals who meet the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - The Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and the following eligibility criteria: 
1) doctor degree in medical and health sciences or pharmaceutical sciences, 
2) be qualified to teach classes in the field of pharmacology and toxicology in the medical field, 
3) be qualified to teach classes in the field of pharmacology in the fields of nursing, emergency medical services, and dietetics, 
4) have documented experience in conducting undergraduate education in the medical field, 
5) have documented practical experience outside of higher education, 
6) have a track record of scientific achievements and publications in the field of medical and health sciences or pharmaceutical sciences, 
7) declare their primary place of employment at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz.

 Employment of an academic teacher in the teaching staff group under a fixed-term, full-time employment contract for an 8-week period during the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. 

Responsibilities: 
- Teaching full-time (95) hours of full-time and part-time studies, 
- Professional development, participation in research activities, 
- Organizational work for the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, particularly at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Specific Requirements

For applicants from abroad, fluency in both written and spoken Polish is required.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates entering the competition are required to submit the following documents: 
1) a job application, 
2) a declaration of consent to the processing of personal data (Appendix 1), 
3) a personal questionnaire for the applicant (Appendix 2), 
4) a curriculum vitae,
5) copies (photocopies) of diplomas confirming their education (originals available for inspection before signing the contract),
6) documents confirming professional experience, 
7) a declaration of compliance with the requirements of Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Appendix 3), 
8) copies of certificates and additional attestations, 
9) a declaration of receipt of information about the internal procedure for reporting violations of law and taking follow-up actions at the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz (Appendix 4), 
10) a declaration that the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz will be the primary place of employment within the meaning of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Appendix 5). 

Documents must be signed manually or with a certified electronic signature.

Selection process

Documents should be submitted in person or sent to the University's address: Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowy Sącz, ul. Staszica 1, 33-300 Nowy Sącz, General Secretariat, room 01. The envelope should be marked "Konkurs nr 1 na stanowisko wykładowcy na WLZ" or sent to kadry@ans-ns.edu.pl with the subject line: "Konkurs nr 1 na stanowisko wykładowcy na WLZ." 

The deadline for submitting documents is February 16, 2026 (the date of receipt at the University will be decisive). The competition results will be announced by February 18, 2026. Information on the results, along with the justification, will be published in the University's Public Information Bulletin and on the website of the Minister of Education and Science.

Additional comments

The selection committee reserves the right to conduct interviews with candidates who meet the required qualification criteria. Applications that do not meet the formal requirements or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered. 

The selection process may be invalidated without providing a reason. The results of the selection process do not constitute employment of the winning candidate; they only constitute a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The final decision regarding employment rests with the Rector.
