Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As an Applications Support Consultant, you will ensure learning and teaching applications are reliable, secure, and well supported. You will provide operational support, resolve incidents, manage system changes and upgrades to continuously improve the digital experience. You will also diagnose application issues, maintain documentation, support users, and ensure systems meet security and business continuity requirements, bringing a strong customer focus to your work.

You are a capable, service-focused applications professional with hands-on experience supporting enterprise systems in a live environment. You enjoy problem-solving, working collaboratively, and delivering stable, well-documented solutions that meet business needs.

Your skills and experience include:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree (NZQA Level 7) in computing or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience supporting and administering enterprise applications
  • Demonstrated ownership of incident resolution and system availability
  • Hands-on experience managing application changes, upgrades, and configurations
  • Experience supporting Learning Management Systems or similar platforms
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues using logs and analysis
  • Experience creating clear technical documentation or user guidance
  • Strong communication skills, a customer-centric mindset

Mahi Ngātahi | Who You Will Work With
You will work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners within the Learning and Teaching Experience team, alongside colleagues across Digital Services. Collaborate with ITS Service Desk teams, academic and professional staff across the University, and external software vendors to ensure applications are supported, enhanced, and aligned with business needs.
