The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine of the University of Luxembourg is looking for an Associate or Assistant Professor (depending on qualifications) in Pharmacology for its Department of Life Sciences and Medicine (DLSM).

The successful candidate will establish and lead an internationally recognized, independent pharmacological research programme in an area of biomedical relevance. The person will contribute to advancing the scientific profile of the institution through high-impact research, successful acquisition of competitive funding, and active interdisciplinary collaboration.

The candidate will additionally play a key role in shaping our educational mission by delivering high-quality teaching in pharmacology at the bachelor, master, and doctoral programmes, with a special focus on Medicine and Life Sciences.

In addition, the individual will mentor early-career researchers and contribute to academic leadership through strategic planning and team management.

Expertise in computational approaches - such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, or other data-driven methodologies - will be an asset.

This position is part of the University of Luxembourg's tenure-track scheme, which offers the assistant professor the possibility to obtain tenure and promotion to the rank of associate professor upon positive evaluation. The evaluation takes place within 48 months of appointment and covers the professor’s performance with respect to the above-listed expectations.
