The Division of Biophotonics promotes research and development aimed at understanding the mechanisms of brain and neural functions. We achieve this by developing novel super-resolution microscopy and related systems, leveraging advanced optical and laser technologies.

[Work content and job description]
(Upon hiring) In this call, we seek an early-career researcher dedicated to advancing laser microscopy toward higher sophistication and super-resolution using nonlinear optics or promoting high-definition imaging through the use of novel probes and optical technologies. The Specially Appointed Assistant Professor recruited here will participate in the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research "Advanced Bioimaging Support (ABiS)" platform and contribute to collaborative research projects conducted by the Institute as an Inter-University Research Institute. Additionally, the appointee will be responsible for graduate education as a faculty member of The Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI).
