The School of Global Studies at Tama University strives to cultivate students equipped with the English communication and problem-solving skills essential in today’s global society. We are seeking one part-time instructors who demonstrate both enthusiasm and expertise in providing education that prepares students to support people as they move across borders, cultures, and languages.

[Work content and job description]
・Responsible for teaching the course “Introduction to Translation” for third-year and higher-level students.
・The course is offered in either the spring or fall semester and consists of two consecutive 90-minute sessions for students in their second year or above.
・In this course, students will develop the skills necessary to translate English into natural Japanese through basic training in translation concepts, processes, ethics, techniques, and methods.
・The successful applicant is expected to demonstrate the ability to teach translation by effectively integrating theoretical and practical perspectives.
・A high level of English proficiency is required. However, classes will be conducted primarily in Japanese.

If you teach one class per week (90 minutes), you will receive a monthly salary of 40,000 yen.
