Call for 2026 Postdoctoral Fellow (ERI Project Researcher) at Earthquake Research Institute, The University of Tokyo

[Work content and job description]
Affiliation:Research Center for Computational Earth Science
ERI serves as the lead institution for the JSPS Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (A) entitled “Mathematical Foundation for Seismic Modeling Pioneered by Information Statistics” and the Grant-in-Aid for Challenging Research (Pioneer) “Development of innovative mathematical protocols beneficial to discovery of unknown seismic phenomena and elucidation of their physical processes” (Principal Investigator: Hiromichi Nagao). The successful applicant will conduct development and application of cutting-edge information science technologies, including artificial intelligence, beneficial to seismology, in collaboration with experts in solid earth science and information science/statistics.

Annual salary:5 million yen - 6 million yen
Wages description:Annual salary system applies and monthly paid salary will be around 400,000 to 500,000 JPY including performance/achievement allowance. (The salary will be decided taking your qualifications, capacity, experience etc. into account.)
Working hours:09:00-17:30
Holidays :Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and the year-end and New Year holidays (December 29 to January 3)
Overtime and other explanations:A discretionary work system for professional work applies, and working hours will be deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day.
