* Background of the recruitment and description of the project
In the research section of the Noto Resilience and Revitalization Center we will conduct research to build a new social model based on the reconstruction and revitalization in the Noto Peninsula region hit hard by the earthquake in 2024. We will also sublimate the "development of local industry and community development that overcomes population decline starting from the earthquake" in Noto into a systematic academic field, and aim to create new knowledge that can overcome social issues common to Japan and the world.
(1) Research: As a member of the center, you will be expected to promote international research into the preservation, restoration, and utilization of cultural materials in the disaster-stricken areas of Noto and to be close to the disaster-stricken areas and accompany them in their econstruction efforts.
In addition, you will be expected to conduct research works in collaboration with Institute for the Study of Ancient Civilizations and Cultural Resources.
(2) *Education: you will be responsible for part of the specialized education in School of Humanities and the Graduate School of Human and Socio-Environmental Studies (lecturing and research guidance).
*This includes attending department meetings and graduate school department meetings, other duties related to university administration, student guidance outside of class (including office hours) and activities related to faculty development.

(1) You will be in charge of specialized subjects (lectures, seminars, practical training, etc.) related to cultural resources, or humanitiesfor the School of Humanities, College of Human and Social Sciences and the Division of Humanities, Graduate School of Human and SocioEnvironmental Studies.
(2) You may be asked to give lectures for some of the specialized subjects in the museum curator course.
(3) You may be asked to give lectures in English for specialized subjects.
(4) You may be asked to give lectures and conduct seminars in the Special Program to develop Human Resource for Disaster Prevention and Reconstruction.

Assistant Professor (non-tenured): 4.2 million to 7.2 million yen
Associate Professor (non-tenured): 6 million to 9.6 million yen

Contract period description:*Term of office: 5 years in principle (renewed each fiscal year, up to the age of 65 at the end of the fiscal year).
Taking into account the budgetary situation, an internal review will be conducted at a prescribed time regarding the operation, education, and research performance. After the review, the employment may be renewed for a period not exceeding 10 years from the initial employment start date.
*For those who have worked at the University for a continuous period, the total term of office from the current term to the next term cannot exceed 10 years.
