The research activity involves the development and analysis of the convergence properties and efficiency (assessed through complexity bounds) of optimization methods for the solution of bilevel problems, with applications to quantitative finance and business decision-making processes. The theoretical analysis relies on tools from variational analysis and nonsmooth optimization.The activity also includes a focus on the use of artificial intelligence techniques in the context of financial and business problems, with particular emphasis on the teaching of subjects in the business area.
