Post Summary
The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) and the Department of Health (DoH) Research and Innovation Policy Unit have established a programme of engagement to support and increase two-way research and policy exchange.
As part of this, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team to support delivery of strategic priorities for health on the island of Ireland. This post offers researchers at the early stages of their career the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of translating research into evidence-based policy and practice, supporting the DoH vision for a healthier Ireland, with improved health and wellbeing for all, with the right care delivered in the right place at the right time. The candidate will have a PhD in social science or health related background and experience in analysis of complex datasets including longitudinal analysis, working in a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver high-quality research.
The post-holder will join the partnership team working under the co-supervision of TILDA Principal Investigator Regius Professor Rose Anne Kenny and Co-Principal Investigator Professor Cathal McCrory. The post holder will be located in TILDA at Trinity College Dublin and will attend the Department of health at Miesian Plaza, Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2 as required to ensure bilateral exchange and dissemination of health research to address current and future DoH strategic priorities.
Hours of Post: 39 hours per week
Salary: Appointment will be made on the IUA Salary scale PD1-PD2 at a point in line with Government Pay Policy [€46,805 to €59,654 per annum] and the specific salary point will be determined by qualifications and experience.
