The Academy is seeking a distinguished music educator and outstanding conductor for the position of Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Conducting. 

Responsibilities:

• Rehearse and lead the instrumental or choral ensembles;
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in conducting and related areas;
• Develop networks with regional and international partners for research, performance and recruitment activities; and
• Collaborate across disciplines within the Academy and with colleagues across the University to further develop the Academy’s strengths in interdisciplinary research, teaching and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

• A doctoral degree in music or equivalent professional conducting experience; and
• Collegiate-level teaching and relevant professional experience.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
