Project Associate

[Appointment period: twelve months initially, with possibility of further appointment]

Duties 

The appointee will assist the project leader in the project - “Curricular enhancements for optometry programme”.  He/She will be required to:

(a)    assist the programme leader in the revamp of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Optometry programme;

(b)    assist in conducting research and benchmarking on similar programmes offered by other institutions; 

(c)    support the preparation and compilation of programme proposals, reports and related documents; 

(d)    communicate with external and internal stakeholders; 

(e)    track timelines and ensure deadlines are met; and

(f)    perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of School or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)    have a master’s degree or a good honours degree with three or more years of relevant work experience;

(b)    have solid experience in programme administration gained in higher education institutions;

(c)    have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Cantonese;

(d)    have a strong sense of responsibility, good team spirit and a positive learning attitude;

(e)    have good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills; and

(f)    be self-motivated and able to handle multi-tasks.
