Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences –Department of Physics
Research fellow (m/f/d) in the field ofexperimental quantum optics with expected 3/4 part-time employment - E 13 TV-L HU (third-party funding limited until 31.12.2029)
Job description:
- scientific service in research in the area of quantum optics with ultra-cold atoms
- design, setup and operation of lab experiments with Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC) in optical dipole traps
- development of methods to control the atomic density for quantum memory applications
- tasks for personal scientific qualification (doctorate)
Requirements:
- completed university degree in physics or similar with very good knowledge in atomic physics and/or quantum optics
- very good knowledge in experimental work with cold atoms or time averaged potentials through Master thesis in this field
- very good knowledge of English (min. B2)
- experience in machine optimization of experiments with cold atoms desirable
- experience in programming and data analysis is desirable
