Offer Description

Position: Post-doctoral researcher

Location: Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus, Villejuif, France

Duration: 3 years; available in November 2025

Employer: Gustave Roussy

We are seeking for a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to join the team of Sophie Postel-Vinay at Gustave Roussy, to work on an exciting project studying chromatin remodeling defects in cancer, selected for funding by the European Research Council (ERC) and as part of the Gustave Roussy Integrated Research Centre (SIRIC) institutional program.

ContextThe (Epi)genetic Vulnerabilities of Solid Tumours and Sarcoma lab, led by Dr Sophie Postel-Vinay as part of the Gustave Roussy Inserm Unit U981, aims to investigate synthetic lethal interactions as new therapeutic strategies for tumours defective in DNA repair or epigenetic processes. Our team closely collaborates with the Drug Development Department and the sarcoma committee, to validate the predictors and implement new targets in therapeutic trials. The candidate will be supervised by S. Postel-Vinay and have the opportunity to work in an extremely dynamic and collaborative research environment at Gustave Roussy, one of the leading cancer research centers in Europe, in close collaboration with other French and international excellent institutions, notably the University College of London Cancer Institute.

Objectives: The aim of the project is to study chromatin remodeling defects in cancer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing experiments to explore chromatin remodeling in selected tumor types, using preclinical models and molecular data from patients’ tumor samples.

To Apply: Please submit a cover letter summarizing your past experience and research interests and CV including the names and contact information of at least two references via email to sophie.postel-vinay@gustaveroussy.fr and roman.chabanon@gustaveroussy.fr .
