Offer Description

The Dean of the FNSPE, CTU in Prague announces, pursuant to Section 77 of Act No. 111/1998 Sb. on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Other Acts (Act on Higher Education), as amended, the selection procedure for academic position of the type Assitant Professor in the Department of Solid State Engineering, in the Laboratory of Structural Rengenography. 

For the above positions we require:

• Ph.D. in Physical Sciences,
  • at least 5 years of working experience in the related field (research, development, industry),
  • publication activity in the related fields of Physics, focus on Physical and Material Engineering and its application in structure analysis of materials and investigation of novel (additive manufacturing) technologies is an advantage,
  • knowledge of Czech and English language,
  • university teaching experience necessary. 

Expected job description:

• Teaching courses within the study programmes Physical Engineering and Solid State Engineering accredited in Czech and English,
• supervision of qualification theses of students of bachelor, master, optionally doctoral studies,
• research and publishing activities in the field of materials and physical engineering, focusing on the study of the real structure of materials and research into new technologies.

• three years fixed-term employment with the possibility of extension, 1.0 full time equivalent (FTE) appointement salary,

• January 1, 2026 or by agreement.
