Offer Description

The group of Methods of Algebra and Functional Analysis in Applications of the FNSPE of the Czech Technical University in Prague invites applications for a research postdoctoral position in Mathematics within the scope of the project Challenging spectral theory with artificial materials, with a special emphasis put on spectrally optimal shapes of nanostructures described by relativistic and non-relativistic quantum mechanics.

 

The position is for three years, starting in January 2026 (or later upon mutual agreement). 

The gross salary is approximately 60 000 CZK per month. There are no teaching duties associated with the position.

 

Applicants should have a PhD in Mathematics or Theoretical Physics (or equivalent) obtained preferably after January 1, 2021 (and possibly defended shortly after the application deadline). They must show very strong research promise in at least one of the following research domains: ◦ geometric analysis; ◦ spectral theory; ◦ partial differential equations.

 

Previous experience in the area of the project is an advantage but not necessary.
