University of Rijeka, Faculty of Law announces an opening for a full-time position of a postdoctoral candidate in the scientific field of technical sciences, field of computing for a fixed term to work on the project "Generative Artificial Intelligence in Legal Translation".

It is necessary to attach the following with the application :
- CV,
- Motivation letter,
- Copy of the academic degree of Doctor of Science in the scientific field of technical sciences, field of computing
- Copy of the diploma of a university graduate study in the field of technical sciences, field of computing
- Transcript of records or Diploma supplement,
- Overview of scientific, teaching and professional activities
- List of scientific and professional works and papers,
- Decision on recognition of foreign higher education qualification for applicants who obtained the qualification abroad or confirmation that the process is ongoing
- a birth certificate or proof of citizenship of another country, and
- for foreign citizens, proof of knowledge of the Croatian language (level C 2).
The deadline for submitting of the application is 30 days from the publication of the job announcement in the Official Gazette. Applications and evidence of meeting the criteria are submitted in electronic form via e-mail natjecaji@pravri.uniri.hr
Applicants who invoke the right of priority in employment in accordance with:
- Article 102 of the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and Members of Their Families (Official Gazette No. 121/17, 98/19 and 84/21),
- Article 48 point f of the Law on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Invalids (Official Gazette No. 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 2/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03 and 148/13 and 98/19),
- Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities (Official Gazette No. 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20),
- Article 48 of the Act on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War (Official Gazette No. 84/21),
are obliged to refer to this right in their application and attach all the evidence specified by special regulations for the exercise of this right, and they have an advantage over other candidates only under equal conditions.
Evidence for exercising the right to priority in employment in accordance with the Act on Croatian Veterans of the Homeland War and their family members is available on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans.
Evidence for exercising the right to priority in employment in accordance with the Law on Civilian Victims of the Homeland War is available on the website of the Ministry of Croatian Veterans.
Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
During the selection procedure the applicants may be invited for an interview.
