PhD/Postdoc in magnetism and spintronics (theory)

Description of the offer :

We are seeking to recruit a number of PhD and postdocs working on the theory of magnetism, spintronics and their interface with quantum information science. The PhD or postdoc will be supervised by Huaiyang Yuan. We are interested in the coupling between spin excitations so-called magnons with other physical systems including photons, phonons, plasmons, qubits etc. The hybrid magnetic system may provide us an ideal platform to study new physics and further benefit the design of novel spintronic devices for applications. We are also interested in the manipulation of spin degree of freedom in both collinear and noncollinear magnetic structures, such as domain wall, vortices, skyrmions. The salary will be determined by the applicants’ qualification and will be very competitive in general. The successful applicant can rent well-furnished university apartments and get family support including priority registration at Zhejiang University’s kindergarten and assistance with primary school admissions.
