Position Description
Beijing Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Applications (BIMSA) is a mathematics research institution co-sponsored by Beijing Municipal Government and Tsinghua University. BIMSA was established in 2020, and the director is Prof. Shing-Tung Yau. The founding of BIMSA is to establish a world-class environment for research in fundamental and applied science and technology and our mission is to explore and decode the laws that govern both the natural world and human society, and to confront the issues that emerge therein.

BIMSA is currently creating a research group focusing on the development of industry software based on computational conformal geometry.

Recruitment for faculty, postdocs and computer programmers：

We invite applications for multiple faculty positions at all levels and multiple postdoctoral positions in the theory and applications of computational conformal geometry (CCG). We also recruit at least 10 Master’s-level computer programmer positions for the development of CCG-related computer software packages suiting a spectrum of industrial settings. The post-doc and programmer positions are for two years with the possibility of extension.

Compensation for the positions:

1.A competitive annual salary will be offered, commensurate with the position levels and applicants' overall quality;

2.An Employment Contract will be concluded according to relevant rules stipulated in the Employment Contract Law of the People's Republic of China and successful applicants will be enrolled into China's Social Insurance scheme;

4.There is sufficient research funding support and a competitive starting grant including a generous travel grant for collaboration with top research centers around the world.
