YOUR TASKS 

You will be appointed as a postdoctoral researcher and will contribute to ongoing and new research projects in the field of global nutrition. Your main tasks include:

  • Project management of research projects related to global nutrition, with a particular focus on childhood malnutrition in low-resource settings
  • Preparation and coordination of ethics submissions, tenders, and administrative research documentation
  • Development of research protocols and support for the implementation of clinical and field-based studies
  • Scientific and administrative support of ongoing clinical studies, including coordination with international partners
  • Assistance in writing competitive research grant applications
  • Support in writing scientific manuscripts and other research outputs for peer-reviewed journals
  • General administrative and organizational tasks related to research activities

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • You hold a thesis-based doctorate (PhD), preferably in global nutrition, public health, nutrition science, epidemiology, or a related discipline
  • You have demonstrated experience in global nutrition research, particularly in the field of childhood malnutrition in low-resource settings
  • You have experience with project coordination and research administration (e.g. ethics applications, protocol development, reporting)
  • You have a strong scientific writing profile and are able to contribute to grant writing and manuscript preparation
  • You are well organized, able to work independently, and capable of coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously
  • You have excellent written and spoken English.
  • Experience working in international or multidisciplinary research teams is considered an asset
  • The position is available at an employment rate of 50% to 100% (to be discussed).

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • We offer you a contract of definite duration for a period of 1 year, with the possibility of an extension for a maximum of one additional year, subject to the availability of funds. The position is available at an employment rate of 50% to 100% (to be discussed). State in the application your desired employment rate.
  • Your contract will start on 1 February 2026 at the earliest.
