Your personal sphere of play:
As a university assistant Postdoc (40 hours), you will support the Institute for Statistics and Operations Research in the areas of research, teaching, and administration. For more information on the institute's research areas, please visit https://isor.univie.ac.at/research/ . Ideally, your research interests should match or overlap with those of an existing working group at the institute.
Your future tasks:
You will publish your research results in internationally renowned journals and at relevant conferences and workshops. In teaching, you will offer courses in the bachelor's and master's programs in statistics as well as service courses for other programs at the faculty. The language of instruction is primarily German, especially in the bachelor's programs.
You need a completed doctoral/PhD degree for this position.
The contract can start on February 1, 2026, and is negotiable. The term of employment is 4 years from the start of the contract.

• Completed doctoral/PhD degree in the relevant field
• Outstanding dissertation
• Research competence and initiative proven through international publications in peer-relevant media
• Experience in research management
• Didactic skills / experience in e-learning
• IT skills
• Excellent knowledge of English (C1) /
• Team player and high social/communicative skills
