Job profile:

Your tasks:

  • Independent research activities in the field of Romance linguistics (with a focus on French studies); collaboration on research projects, the production of publications, the organisation of conferences and events, etc.
  • Independent organisation of courses, examinations and supervision of students, including supervision of Bachelor's and Master's theses (the latter limited to the dissertation subject and with the approval of the Dean of Studies)
  • Collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks

Your profile:

  • Above-average degree in a degree programme in Romance Studies or French/French Studies or a subject-related diploma or master's degree programme with a focus on linguistics
  • Completion of a doctoral or PhD programme in the field of Romance linguistics (at the latest by the start of the position)
  • Submission of a project outline for a research project in the field of French linguistics (max. 5 pages)
  • French and German language skills at least C1 according to CEFR
  • Willingness to teach courses independently and to supervise students
  • Ability to work in a team, willingness to cooperate, commitment, high communicative competence
  • A research project or research project in the field of media linguistics or linguistic pragmatics is an advantage.
  • The following are also advantageous: university teaching experience in the field of French linguistics and a good knowledge of Italian
