Job profile:

Your tasks:

  • Research including field work, writing publications in scientific journals, acquisition of third-party funding, contact and cooperation with scientists and technicians at national and international level
  • Contribution to organisation, administration, management of the laboratory and the working group
  • Teaching
  • Maintenance and management of the working group's field and laboratory equipment

Your profile

  • Completed relevant doctoral or PhD studies (biology/ecology, environmental sciences or related disciplines). Proven research experience with biogeochemical methods, in particular with respect to running water ecosystems and with regard to greenhouse gases. Technical skills and experience in handling and building environmental measuring devices. Experience in data management and in the programming language R. Experience in teaching (Bachelor and Master level) in field settings
  • High level of creativity in problem solution and technical improvisation skills, ability to work in an interdisciplinary team, organisational skills, independence, experience in interaction with experts and technical staff, fair technical skills
  • Excellent English skills
