The financial support from my scholarship allows me to work less, focus more on my studies, and contribute through the Access Monash mentoring program. It has also connected me with a scholarship donor who worked in my field, and is now a great mentor to me as I work out where I want to end up and how to navigate the challenges of studying an Engineering degree.
Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
- An International student
You must meet the following criteria:
- meet the eligibility criteria for admission to a research degree (domestic students only);
- meet Monash's competitive scholarship selection process requirements (international students only); and
- meet Monash English language proficiency requirements .
This scholarship is also available to students undertaking Joint Research Awards when Monash University is the home institution.
Benefits
RTP Fees Offset covers the cost of:
- course tuition fees ; and
- a single Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) policy (international students only).
Selection criteria
International students can only be awarded a RTP Fees-Offset as part of a competitive selection process. Monash scholarships are highly competitive and are awarded based on academic excellence, research outputs and prior research experience.
All domestic students commencing a graduate research degree at Monash are provided with a RTP Fees Offset.
If you are awarded a RTP Fees-Offset, it's important to familiarise yourself with the associated conditions and benefits as outlined in the policy and procedures .
How to apply
