Job Type: FullTime

  • Property and Facilities

  • Full-time Permanent position

  • Base salary in the range $117,958 – $132,247 + 17% superannuation

About This Opportunity

The Property and Facilities Division is establishing a new capability within the Program Management Office (PMO) and is seeking a Construction Programmer/Scheduler to support infrastructure-funded capital projects across the University.

Locally known as a Project Manager - Construction Programmer, this newly created role and reflects the first time UQ has introduced a dedicated scheduling and programming function at the program level. Rather than focusing on individual project delivery, this role operates at a strategic level and provides visibility across the capital works portfolio to support planning, prioritisation, and informed decision-making.

Working within the PMO and reporting to the Associate Director, the role consolidates scheduling and progress information from Project Managers into a centralised reporting framework. This enables clearer insight into project pipelines, resource demand, and delivery risks across the capital works program.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain a master program/schedule across infrastructure-funded capital works projects

  • Work closely with Project Managers to understand project timelines, dependencies, and delivery constraints

  • Consolidate project scheduling data into central reporting tools to support monthly pipeline and program reporting

  • Analyse program-level impacts including resource loading, capacity constraints, and competing priorities

  • Support informed decision-making by identifying scheduling risks, delivery impacts, and opportunities for reprioritisation

  • Engage with stakeholders across the PMO and broader Property and Facilities teams to ensure alignment and data integrity
